Terms of service

Draft — not legal advice. This text is a working draft prepared with the product. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and must be reviewed and completed by qualified counsel before Faroluma is offered to the public.

Operator details not configured. Set the LEGAL_* environment variables before launch.

1. The service

Faroluma measures how a business appears in search engines, map services, AI assistants, review platforms and on its own website, and presents the results as reports, scores, findings and recommendations. The service is provided by [operator name] ("we") to business customers.

2. What measurements mean

Results depend on third-party services and change over time. A measurement describes what we observed at a stated time, place, device and language. Estimates (such as search volumes) are labelled as estimates. Scores summarise measurements according to the published methodology. We do not guarantee rankings, map positions, AI mentions, traffic, enquiries or revenue.

3. Accounts and acceptable use

  • You must give accurate information and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and for the people you invite.
  • Only audit businesses you own, represent, or have a legitimate interest in analysing. Do not use the service to harass anyone, to overload websites, or to circumvent our usage limits.
  • Do not attempt to access other customers' data, probe our infrastructure without permission, or resell raw data obtained through the service.

4. Plans, payment and cancellation

Paid plans renew automatically for the chosen period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; the plan stays active until the end of the paid period. Prices exclude VAT unless stated. If a payment fails, we keep the plan active for a grace period and then fall back to the free plan; your data is not deleted. Services (fix sprints, websites) are governed by the quote you accept.

5. Your data

You keep all rights to the data you provide. You can export it at any time. We process personal data as described in the privacy notice; where we process personal data on your behalf, our data processing terms apply.

6. Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but do not promise uninterrupted service. Measurement providers may change or discontinue their services; when that happens, the affected measurement is shown as not measured until a replacement is available. We may change these terms with 30 days' notice for paid plans.

7. Liability

[To be completed by counsel: limitation of liability appropriate to the operator's jurisdiction and to business-to-business contracts.]

8. Law and jurisdiction

[To be completed by counsel.]
