FAQ
Questions, answered plainly
What does Faroluma measure?
Where your business appears in Google search and Google Maps, whether AI assistants name it, how your reviews compare, and how well your website turns visitors into enquiries.
Where does the data come from?
Search and Maps positions come from licensed search-data providers, speed from Google's PageSpeed Insights and Chrome UX Report, AI answers from the official APIs of the assistants we test, and website checks from our own crawler. Each report lists the providers used.
Why are some numbers labelled “Estimate” or “Not measured”?
Because they are. Search volumes are provider estimates; anything we could not measure is shown as not measured, with the reason.
Does the AI write my report?
No. Every finding comes from measurements and fixed rules. On paid audits an AI model may rephrase explanations in plain language; those texts are checked so they cannot add numbers or claims that are not in the evidence, and they are labelled “AI interpretation”.
Is ChatGPT tested?
We test OpenAI's API with web search, plus Anthropic's and Perplexity's APIs. Consumer apps can answer differently, and answers vary between runs, so we report a rate over several samples rather than a single answer.
