Terms
How we work together. These terms apply to every quote, order and project with Faroluma.
Who we work with
Our services are for businesses and self-employed professionals. By sending a request or placing an order, you confirm that you're acting for your business and not as a consumer.
Quotes and orders
The package prices on our website are starting points. For custom work you get a fixed quote after we've talked: it says what's included, the price and the timeline, and it's valid for 30 days. The contract is made when you accept the quote in your client area or in writing. Fixed-price packages are ordered directly; the contract is made when you place the order.
Prices and payment
- Prices are in euros and exclude VAT where it applies.
- Unless your quote says otherwise, you pay a deposit of 50% of the one-off price when you accept the quote, and the rest before the site goes live.
- Fixed-price packages are paid in full when you order.
- Monthly fees, such as hosting and care, are billed monthly in advance from the day the site goes live.
- Invoices are due within 14 days. You can pay online where your client area offers it, or by bank transfer.
Working together
We show you the design before we build, and include the rounds of feedback described in your quote. You send us the texts, photos, logins and other material we need in good time, and make sure you're allowed to use them. If material or feedback arrives late, the launch date moves accordingly. Work beyond the quote is quoted separately, before we do it.
Hosting, care and changes
We host and look after the websites we build. The hosting and care plan covers hosting, backups, security updates and small changes on request; bigger changes and new features get a quote first. Send change requests through your client area or by email.
The plan runs month to month. Either side can end it with 30 days' notice by email. When it ends, we take the site offline.
Who owns what
Your content stays yours: the texts, photos, logos and data you give us, and the content we create specifically for you, such as texts written for you or a logo we design, once it's paid for.
The website's design, its code and the software behind it remain ours. While your hosting and care plan runs, you may use the website for your business. If you'd like to move the site elsewhere one day, talk to us about a licence.
Cancelling a project
You can cancel a project at any time before launch. We keep the deposit, invoice work done beyond what it covers, and refund anything you've paid on top.
Responsibility
We do our work with care. We're fully liable for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. Otherwise, our liability is limited to the damage typical and foreseeable for this kind of work, and in total to the amount you paid us for the project in the 12 months before the damage occurred. We're not responsible for content you provide, or for outages of services outside our control.

How we handle personal data is explained in our privacy policy.
General
These terms are governed by the law of the country where Faroluma is established. If one clause turns out to be invalid, the rest still applies. Changes to these terms apply to new quotes and orders; for running hosting and care plans we tell you at least 30 days in advance.
